Epithelial tissue is a fundamental body component, forming protective barriers, regulating absorption and secretion, and facilitating sensation. Originating from all embryonic layers(ectoderm, mesoderm, endoderm), its specialized structures such as microvilli, cilia, and junctions support diverse functions across organs. Keratinized cells protected skin, microvilli enhance intestinal absorption, kidney manage filtration, while alveolar cells unable gas exchange. This paper highlights in their structure and how can it influence the organ.
